64th International Symposium on Crop Protection
The 64th International Symposium on Crop Protection on Tuesday May 22, 2012 will be held at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering of the Ghent University, Coupure links 653, BE-9000 Ghent, Belgium.
The Symposium will focus on new developments in all aspects of crop protection. The programme will include a plenary session with two invited papers and parallel sessions with submitted papers related to the following subjects:
1. Phytopathology
2012 World Congress on In Vitro Biology
The 2012 World Congress will be held from Sunday, June 3 – Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Bellevue, Washington, just 9 miles east of Seattle. If you have ever attended an SIVB annual meeting, you have already come to appreciate the high caliber science that is the benchmark of these events. Our World Congresses, held once every 4 years, are even more impactful as we welcome even greater participation from our colleagues around the globe.
29th Annual IPG Symposium
Plant Physiology in the "Omics" Era
May 23 - 25, 2012
The Interdisciplinary Plant Group (IPG) is a community of MU faculty, students, postdoctoral fellows, and professionals who are pursuing novel, creative, and transformative ideas in the field of plant biology. Established in 1981, the IPG seeks to encourage interdisciplinary cooperation between scientists engaged in plant molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, biotechnology, evolution, ecology, and computer science.
73rd Annual Meeting of the ASB
The Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) will hold its 73rd annual meeting in Athens, Georgia. All information concerning the meeting will be available on this page.
Please check back frequently for updates, and if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in Athens!
GRC - Salt & Water Stress in Plants
Drought and salinity cause serious global crop losses. Dramatic progress has been made over recent years at identifying individual biological mechanisms, genes and networks that are required for plant survival under abiotic stress. The emerging main challenges are to obtain an understanding of how these processes are coordinated within the plant, identification of many still unknown key players and genes and how different environmental stresses and their signaling pathways are integrated into an overall response.
Automated Imaging & High-Throughput Phenotyping
The purpose of this Cold Spring Harbor meeting is to explore and encourage exchange of ideas and results about the development of automated imaging systems and image analysis, and how these systems and approaches are accelerating efforts to undertake phenotyping of large numbers of biological samples in parallel and/or high throughput mode.
UK PlantSci 2012
The Inaugural Research Conference of the UK Plant Science Federation has been established to showcase the wealth of plant science that is being undertaken across the UK from cell biology to ecology and basic research to the field and to provide an arena for plant scientists from across the UK to come together and share their knowledge and expertise.
The Inaugural Research Conference of the UKPSF will be held at the John Innes Centre 18-19th April 2012.
Day One Sessions:
The 11th International Barley Genetics Symposium (IBGS)
The 11th International Barley Genetics Symposium (IBGS) will be held in April 15-20, 2012, Hangzhou, China. The goal of this Conference is to bring together the researchers from academia and industry as well as practitioners to share ideas, problems and solutions relating to the multifaceted aspects of barley production, breeding and malting. The Conference will serve information on present and future development of the following fields:
