Collembola More
than counting springtails
The standardised reproduction test with Collembolae (Folsomia candida)
(ISO 11267:1999) is very sensitive towards a wide spectrum of soil contaminants
and chemicals to be tested. At the end of a test 15,000 and more organisms
per test must be counted producing high costs and delay of getting the
results.

LemnaTec
Collembol counts the springtails automatically after suspending of the
soil with stained water.
Whole data management with different treatments and controls is organised
within the software
Besides number the size of each springtail is quantified to give additional
information on number and size of each generation and individual quality
of the organisms
Inhibition values may be calculated automatically by valdidated LemnaTec
Biostat
Thus a maximum of information is available immediately after the end of
the test.
Documentation of methods and results is in compliance with GLP
