LemnaTec acquires Spex AI
LemnaTec is happy to announce that SpexAI Technology will merge into LemnaTec. This step will enlarge our capabilities in plant sensing and extend our offering from research applications towards the production floor. By integrating the sensing technology developed by SpexAI into LemnaTec’s portfolio, we enhance and extend our analytical tools. The new technology is dedicated to measure the plant’s contents of chlorophyll, pigments, and nutrients. It provides early detection of diseases, pests, and other stress factors, and it includes capabilities for sensing secondary metabolites. In secondary metabolite sensing, SpexAI focused mainly on THC and CBD sensing in Cannabis plants, but the technology can be adapted to other metabolites, too.
We are looking forward to taking these augmented capabilities into future plant sensing and phenotyping projects and are happy to be able to offer our long-standing sensing technology and analysis capabilities we developed over the past 27 years with a competitive sensor to crop producers for greenhouses, climate chambers and vertical farms.
