The Nynomic group develops and produces contact-less optical high-tech measurement systems for a wide range of applications. Starting with the optical component [spectrometer unit, optical bench] over measurement units up to turn-key solutions the companies within the group offer a complete range for different levels of integration and value creation. Those technologies and competences within the group are used in all levels of integration, to offer state-of-the art customer solutions with optimal value creation.

Application examples starts from content material analysis in the agricultural sector, process monitoring in the semiconductor industry, systems for the cleaning of endoscopes, measurement systems for incoming goods inspection and process optimization in the wood processing industry up to infrared camera systems for early fire detection. Furthermore, this broad technology base is supposed to solve a wide range of measuring problems in various branches and applications.

The main focus for the group is the OEM business. We supply well-known customers, partly with a long history of collaboration, with individual customized solutions developed and produced in house.

Part of Nynomic AG are, besides LemnaTec GmbH, the seven companies Spectral Engines Oy, LayTec AG, APOS GmbH, Avantes B.V., Sensortherm GmbH, tec5 AG and m-u-t GmbH with their subsidiaries.

m-u-t’s expertise can be applied to a whole range of different products. The core markets are spectroscopy, sensor technology, laboratory automation and medical technology.

tec5 AG

The tec5 group develops and manufactures high-quality, state-of-the-art products for detector array based optical spectroscopy and photometry for a wide range of applications. The company`s portfolio includes products ranging from OEM Components, like Operating Electronics, via Embedded Systems up to complete UV-VIS-NIR and Raman Spectrometers. In addition, we work out custom-tailored product solutions in close cooperation with our customers, covering Process Spectroscopy as well. tec5 was established in 1993. With a network of distribution partners, we work together with customers around the globe.

APOS GmbH is the leading system integrator for spectroscopic measurement systems in the wood industry.
APOS offers solutions for panel board production, pulp and paper, as well as the thermal utilisation of wood.

Avantes is a leading, innovative company in the field of developing and producing miniature spectrometers connected together with fiber-optic cables, with a quarter of a century worth of experience in developing customer-specific spectrometer configurations. With its many years of experience in advising customers in different market segments and applications, Avantes is an experienced partner in helping customers in the best possible way with specific applications or research requirements.

LayTec GmbH

LayTec is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of process-integrated optical metrology systems for thin-film processes in industry and research. The measuring systems are used in, above all, optoelectronics, electronics, photovoltaics, optics, photonics and the semiconductor industry, as well as in manufacturing flat screens and memory chips.
LayTec measuring instruments provide real-time information about the quality-determining parameters of coating processes – either in situ during the process, or in line during the substrate transfer between coating steps.

Spectral Engines Oy

Spectral Engines is a Finnish company , founded in 2014, and based in Helsinki, Finland. Spectral Engines’ basic technology are MEMS-based spectral sensors, developed as a disruptive approach for highly miniaturised and inexpensive detectors.

When Thomas Alva Edison presented the first incandescent lamp to the public in 1879 he was for sure not aware of the significance this technical development would have for the future.
It has been a long way from the first short-lived lamps to the innovative lamp products of the present days – modern lamps not only have longer lifetime and higher luminosity, but also miniaturization proceeded enormously.

Photecture - A member of the Nynomic group

Photecture Inc.

Photecture Inc., founded in 2023 and headquartered in Plainview, New York/USA, operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nynomic AG in the form of a sales company primarily for the North American market.

As a strong sales presence in the very large American market, the resources of the individual subsidiaries of Nynomic AG are bundled in a targeted manner via Photecture Inc. in order to create synergies and maximize the efficiency of sales activities.

Photecture has a highly qualified team on site that develops and implements tailored, customer-oriented sales strategies, considering the specific requirements of the North American market. In addition, through locally provided services, the offering to regional customers is continuously expanded in line with demand.

Photecture is thus excellently positioned to increase customer satisfaction while promoting the sustainable growth of the Nynomic Group.

nlir - A member of the Nynomic group

NLIR ApS is a spin-off from the Department of Photonics Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark and is based on the novel, patented upconversion technology.

At the heart of the upconversion technology is a nonlinear crystal that converts light in the mid-infrared range into near visible light. This technology makes it possible for the first time to bring measurement systems in the mid-infrared (MIR) range from the laboratory to the process in a scalable way. The speed and sensitivity that can be achieved here is unprecedented and absolutely comparable to the state of the art in UV-VIS and NIR spectroscopy.

Especially compared to the already established near-infrared (NIR) measurement technique, MIR has significant applicative advantages and the potential to realize further, so far unsolved process applications.

art photonics - A member of the Nynomic group

art photonics GmbH

art photonics, founded in Berlin in 1998, is continuously setting new standards in the development and production of special fibers for optical measurement technology and is one of the global technology leaders in this segment.

The leading expertise within the technology of polycrystalline mid-infrared (PIR-) and metal-coated silica fibers is used for the assembly of various spectroscopy probes for medical diagnostics and industrial process control, for example. There are also a wide range of applications in the field of medical and industrial lasers.
